Why weekly therapy alone isn’t enough
A week has 168 hours. A single 50-minute therapy session still leaves 167 hours where cravings, routines, and stress can knock you off plan. Sobio closes that gap with daily touchpoints, so change isn’t riding on willpower once a week.
1) Weekly therapist session (50 min)
Licensed clinician provides evidence-based therapy (motivation, skills for cravings/triggers, relapse-prevention planning).
2) Daily coach check-ins (up to 50 min each)
Short, structured prompts with your coach (Certified Counselor) turn goals into micro-actions you can keep. If something wobbles at 10am on Tuesday, you don’t wait until next week to fix it.
3) Between-session messaging
Secure messages for quick guidance, link to worksheets, or “reset plans” after slips.
4) Data + reviews
We track a few simple signals (sleep, cravings, urges acted on, micro-wins). Every 2–4 weeks you and your therapist review what’s working and tune the plan.
We attack the behavior loop (trigger → feeling → behavior → result):
Trigger mapping: time of day, people, places, phone habits
If-then plans: “If X happens, I do Y” (implementation intentions)
Craving playbooks: delay → distract → decide; urge surfing in 2–5 minutes
Environment edits: cues you remove, supports you add
Micro-goals: tiny, specific and time-boxed (wins build momentum)
Day 1–2: Intake, goals, safety check, first therapist session
Daily: 1–2 prompts from your coach (AM plan, PM debrief)
Day 7: Therapist review; adjust triggers map + next micro-goals

Is this the same as “virtual rehab”? Yes—different words, same approach.
What if I slip? We use a same-day reset plan with your coach; no waiting a week.
Do you prescribe medication? We’re therapy + coaching; we can coordinate with your local prescriber when appropriate.
When is in-person care safer? If you’re at risk of severe withdrawal, medical instability, or crisis—seek emergency or supervised care first (see Safety).
Emergencies: 911. 24/7 support: 988 or SAMHSA 1-800-662-HELP (4357). If you may experience severe alcohol/benzodiazepine withdrawal or uncontrolled opioid withdrawal, get medically supervised care before starting outpatient telehealth.
